Are you a mum on a budget? New website to help you

20 October 2008 No Comment

Mumtreprenuer Aileen Robertson announces the launch of www.mumsonabudget.com an e.commerce website of money saving offers, discounts and promotions.Aileen says, “I am launching a dedicated website that provides mums in the UK a resource to easily find online offers, discount codes and new deals from many of the major high street retailers. What started out as a small idea to store information about potential savings on my own family is now proving useful to other mums. The website is run on a small budget as you would expect and as it grows the next stage of development will involve a social network. Our immediate goal is to increase the range of offers leading up to Christmas”.

In recent months family lifestyles and household budgets have changed making it increasingly more competitive for brands to attract mums as consumers. Mums today have the greatest influence on family spending and will always put their children’s welfare and home life as top considerations in any purchase. Therefore, it is no longer surprising that consumer brands especially in an economic downturn are trying to attract mums by offering deals, discounts and offers that do not detract from a mum’s core desire to always do the best for their family and if they can do that without compromising on quality.

“I believe passionately that www.mumsonabudget.com can follow in the footsteps of other leading parent/family websites local by providing a forum whereby mums can discuss innovative budgeting ideas and communicate to others the deals and offers available in the areas they live which may not necessarily be online.”
