Baby-led Weaning: Help Needed with Research

22 January 2009 No Comment

Baby led weaning works well for busy parents. It is an easy way for you to wean your baby onto healthy family foods without spending hours pureeing vegetables. If you have weaned your baby this way, researchers at the University of Nottingham are looking for parents to fill in a questionnaire. They say:

“I am trying to get in touch with parents of children who have been weaned using Baby-Led Weaning. There is very little research out there on baby led weaning …. We are looking for parents of children currently aged 20-72 months to take part in a questionnaire about experiences of introducing solid foods with baby led weaning and food preferences (the child’s). Please feel free to forward this message to anyone else you think would be interested in getting involved. We are running a £50 prize draw for everyone who returns a completed questionnaire by the end of January.”

If you would be interested in taking part or have any questions, send an email  to ellen.townsend@nottingham.ac.uk . Ellen will email you the questionnaire which can be completed on your computer and returned via email.
