Beat the Credit Crunch and Start a Kids’ Party Business
According to the BBC kids parties are still big business. Mums and dads are still splashing the cash on the kids, even if they are cutting back in other areas. And Amanda’s Action Kids are now offering a franchise opportunity if you think you’d like to party for work.
Don’t forget, though, that this is the sort of business you could also set up without a franchise. It means working weekends – the pluses are that your partner or family can help with childcare, the downside is that it cuts into family time.
You’d need to think of your niche for the business: would you offer fairy parties, specialise in boys themes, do face painting or magic. Check out the insurance you’d need to cover public liability. And work out what you’d do to get the business going: could you run a few parties for a lower fee to help spread the word?
