Mumpreneur News: Debbie Starts Pier Physiotherapy

A PHYSIOTHERAPIST gave birth not only to her new son but to a new business idea while she was on maternity leave.

Debbie Arkley has launched her own private practice to deal with musculoskeletal conditions in Whitley Bay.

The ‘mumpreneur’ behind Pier Physiotherapy graduated as a physiotherapist in 1997 from the University of Northumbria and over the past 13 years she has developed her knowledge and skills to a highly specialised level.

During this time she has obtained an MSc in Manual Therapy from Manchester University and she also passed the entrance examinations to become a member of the Manipulation Association of Chartered Physiotherapists (MACP) in 2002.
