Last night Polly Marsh and Helen Wooldridge, from Nether Stowey, Somerset , who founded Cuddledry, were announced as the winners of The Remote Employer Award in a prestigious ceremony to celebrate the Remote Worker Awards at the spectacular Cliveden House in Berkshire.

During the presentations of the other eight categories in The Remote Worker Awards, in association with BT Business, Polly and Helen waited to hear the announcement of the unique The Remote Employer Award.

Cuddledry manufactures and supplies towels and accessories for babies and children, employing home-based personnel. It recognises that there are many people no longer able to work full time in senior roles due to childcare commitments. Cuddledry has used home working to the advantage of all, demonstrating that home businesses can significantly exceed financial projections.

Polly said: “Helen and I are absolutely delighted to be nominated for The Remote Employer Award and are thrilled and proud to have won.  We would like the thank Remote Employment and everyone involved with the Remote Worker Awards, but most of all to Cuddledry’s marvellous remote working team for their hard work, support and dedication, without whom none of Cuddledry’s success would have happened and tonight would never have been possible.”

Along with the honour of winning The Remote Employer Award, Polly and Helen walked away with a collection of valuable and beneficial business support products and services which includes IT, HR, PR, Legal and marketing advice.

Award winning website, Remote Employment, Google’s No 1 job site for flexible and home based jobs, launched The Remote Worker Awards in association with BT Business to highlight how home working and remote working benefits the British public and their working life.

Paula Wynne, Founder of Remote Employment and organiser of the Remote Worker Awards, said: “It has been a highly rewarding experience to see the wide variety of talented people who embrace flexible working and seeing just how many companies champion remote working! It’s been such a pleasure finding these inventive pioneers!
