Roberta of Giant Potential was first off the mark with a list of the winners:

  • Emma Hogg of MISI and Keira O’Mara of Mamascarf were both highly commended
  • Best Green Business: Alison Rothwell, Arabella Miller
  • Laura Tanner, Fill Your Pants and Sam Petter, Tattybumpkin were both highly commended
  • Best Direct Sales Rep: Jane Baker, Partylite
  • Best Franchisee: Louise Prunty, CT Academy
  • Best Online Business: Claire Willis, Snugbaby (read about how excited Claire was here!)
  • Sharon-Elaine Chapman, Lingerie Store and Brenda Cuby, Green Familia were both highly commended
  • The Most Inspirational Mum in Business Award went to Antonia Chitty!

Rebekah of RRVA writes that the, “best part was meeting all the other lovely business mummy entrepreneurs at all stages in their business. Lots of whom I have been tweeting with for a while! It was a very inspirational experience to have met so many other passionate, dedicated and successful women and mothers. Women driven to succeed but not at the expenses of their families.”

At Self Employed Mum, Alison says, “The City Inn, Birmingham, was heaving! The conference was in full swing and the atmosphere was fab. The conference comprised six seminars plus two presentations from renowned business women Tanya Rostron (Water to Work) and Wendy Shand (Tots to Travel). Tanya and Wendy were both truly inspirational and their generous presentations gave loads of practical advice instead of the usual focusing on individual “journeys” which is often a hallmark of keynote speakers.”

Louisa of Dynagirl summed up the feeling behind the event for many of us, saying, “I am so proud to be part of such a wonderful network of people. Women, who are doing their utmost to make a better life for their family by whatever means they can, doing it passionately and with love and yet still having the time to support others and offer their advice, support and help.”
