Half Term Fun: Get the Kids Colouring with Milly Bee

26 October 2009 No Comment

Do you need something to keep the kids busy for 5 minutes this half term? Why not get them to enter a competition from Milly Bee?

Milly Bee, the online children’s art gallery h is celebrating its first birthday and to mark the occasion,  is running a ‘Get Colouring’ competition in association with The Big Draw (an annual campaign encouraging people to draw).

The ‘Get Colouring’ competition invites young children to express their creativity by colouring in a Milly Bee train picture as imaginatively as possible – spots, stripes, zigzags – any pattern in any colours!

Entry is free and there are two age categories: age 4 and under and age 5 to 7. For each category, the winner will receive a £50 Milly Bee voucher, the runner-up a £25 Milly Bee voucher and both will receive some art goodies and a certificate. An exclusive ‘Get Colouring’ exhibition on the Milly Bee website will display as many entries as possible.

Camilla Braidwood, Milly Bee’s owner says: “This year has sped by. A little over a year ago, I was trying to find pictures for my daughter’s nursery, and at being disappointed with the selection, I made my own and instilled with a renewed love of art, Milly Bee was born. I hope that the children’s ‘Get Colouring’ competition will both spark their enthusiasm for art and unleash their creativity. I can’t wait to show off their fun and imaginatively coloured-in pictures in the online exhibition!”

Full ‘Get Colouring’ competition details along with Milly Bee’s full range of prints can be viewed on: www.millybee.com.
