Why Enter Awards?

27 November 2009 No Comment

I won an award this year and it felt great.  But my feelings aside, entering awards can really help your business. I know that external validation can encourage people to trust my advice, buy my books or sign up to my business development programme.  In a recent survey, Boost Marketing found that:

•     85.3% are influenced by awards when buying as a consumer for themselves

•     82.4% are influenced by awards in general when buying products/services for your organisation

For specific sectors:

•     72.1% are influenced by awards when choosing financial services

•     80.1% are influenced by awards when choosing building or construction services

•     74.7% are influenced by awards when choosing call centre related services

•     81.0% are influenced by awards when choosing HR/Training services

•     80.9% are influenced by awards when choosing marketing agencies

•     71.7% are influenced by awards when buying IT services

•     69.7% are influenced by awards when buying computer software

If you have a business, look for awards to enter.

The survey was carried out on 400 businesses by Boost Marketing and Shape-The-Future
