Diary Review: Little Bird Diary 2010

28 December 2009 8 Comments

A little bird told me… … that Little Bird is the newest range of diaries from the well-loved Organised Mum family of diaries and organisers. But does  live up to the other great diaries in the Organised Mum range?

I’ve been using the Life Book Diary for a number of years and rate it highly. Creater of Organised Mum and Little Bird Sarah Sadler says of the Little Bird Diary, “This is the diary I would have made first, if I knew then what I know now” and I can see what she means. We love:

  • the flexible cover which looks robust enough to cope with a year in my handbag
  • the attractive design – I always like stationery to be visually appealing.
  • an elastic and two ribbons to keep your place.
  • the classic element of all products from Organised Mum, plenty of space for to do lists and menus.
  • the tear out lists section at the back.
  • the month at a glance planner for the year.

We’d like to see the year planner extended to the following year, allowing you space to slot in future events.

If you use up every scrap of space in your diary and have a large family with varied appointments, you may prefer the Organised Mum range, but for anyone who wants a handbag-friendly diary which still has plenty of space, try the new Little Bird diary. It costs £13.99 from www.organised-mum.co.uk

And if you have yet to get a diary, leave a comment below about why Little Bird would be the diary for you: I’ll send the diary I have to the person who makes the best one.

    Hi there
I don’t know if you still have one of these around but I still haven’t managed to get a diary – I think I must be the most disorganised mum around and could well do with some help! As you can see by my lack of diary in mid January…

I’ve got two little boys and am just starting to do some contracting having been off for a couple of years. It all seemed such a good idea but then reality hit when I got a contract straight away and suddenly I ended up working through December until now with just a couple of days to sort out everything before Xmas instead of the weeks I thought I had.

Diary shopping was one of the things that fell by the wayside, finally venured out today and everything (apart from those really teeny little black ones that have no space in) had been sold. Which is why I am now on the Internet looking to see if I can track down a diary!

If you have still got one and could make this disorganised mum a little less so, I would be very grateful!

And if not, I’ll be back now having discovered your site at just the right time (I’ve finally got around to setting up a user experience consultancy) to find out how I could be combining work and being a mum without everything turning chaotic!

    Many thanks

    Sam

Being a fairly new mum, toddler aged 2 and a new baby on the way, I had never realised you could buy diaries that have allocated space for all these lovely things I’d have to create space for as a mum in my diaries: meals, menus, recipes, shopping lists, organising space for during and outside work hours divided into mornings and evening, keeping track of deliveries and orders and things to do, holidays, mine, childminder, partner.

This year I was pretty simply hoping to find a diary that was pretty to look at and good quality. These little bird diaries are very pretty to look, seem to be good quality, with the plus of all the additional nice things inside. I’m quite excited about owning one, if you do have the diary yet to give away, I’d love to receive it.

I LOVE my Little Bird diary, but Organised Mum seem to have stopped doing them after the 2010 one :( I love having a day to a page as it gives me lots of space and I can allocate appointments to am, pm or evening, which gives me plenty of room for everything. Unfortunately none of the other OM products seem to give this, so I think I’m going to have to look somewhere else for my 2011 diary. It’s a real shame :(

Thanks Amanda – have passed that on to Organised Mum as I’m sure they’d like to know. Have you had the latest catalogue – there seem to be some good new-look products in there.

I had a 2010 little bird diary and was so disappointed that a diary isn;t produced for 2011. I did contact Organised Mum as well and was told that the diaries hadn’t apparently gone down as well as they expected :-( . And as the other diaries from OM don’t really suit what I’m looking for I’m having to look elsewhere for a new diary. such a shame

I loved my little bird diary and am so upset you no longer do them. None of other diaries suit my needs. Are they stocked elsewhere?

So disappointed that the production of these diaries has been discontinued. Has anyone stumbled across anything similar? I can’t seem to find anything else that will do the job as well as my Little Bird diary :(

Nice tips, stationery should always be pleasant to the eye
