I make milk – what’s your superpower?

21 June 2010 No Comment

Kirsten Baxter of Bellamama.co.uk, is on a mission to bring Breastfeeding back into fashion, and is backing the national breastfeeding week (NBAW) campaign this June to quash the stigmas modern mums so often relate to breastfeeding. She was inspired to create the online boutique after the birth of her second baby in 2007.

In support of the campaign, Bellamama has exclusive “I Make Milk – What’s Your Super Power?” tees, encouraging nursing mums in the UK to embrace their natural power and promote a healthy perspective on breastfeeding. With each t-shirt sold, Bellamama.co.uk will donate a portion of their profits to UKAMB – a registered charity that supports human milk banking in the UK.

Kirsten Baxter says, “There is nothing more organic than for a mother to breastfeed her baby, so it shouldn’t matter where or when you breastfeed”. Did you know, that breastfeeding offers several health benefits for both mother and baby including helping to protect against, asthma, obesity, breast cancer and ovarian cancer. And, women who breastfeed return to their pre-pregnancy figure faster*

It is a woman’s right to breastfeed at any time or place in the UK, so join Bellamama.co.uk and show your support for National Breastfeeding Week this June 21st-27 2010, and be proud of your super power!
