More mothers working full-time

The number of mothers working full-time has increased from less than a quarter to almost a third over the past 15 years, new figures show.
The Office for National Statistics said 29% of mothers worked full-time at the end of last year, up from 23% in 1996, driven by a growth in full-time working generally.

Millions of women have returned to work just weeks after giving birth because they can’t afford to stay home, a study conducted on behalf of Philips AVENT reveals. Eight out of ten new mums head back to the office because they are ‘in desperate need of money’, while only one in five return to work because they love their job.

New Grant to help unemployed  into business plus overhaul for businesslink.gov.uk

If you’re  unemployed and have been claiming Jobseeker’s Allowance (JSA) for more than six months, you could receive a support package worth up to £2,000 to help you start your own business.  The New Enterprise Allowance scheme is to be expanded with the aim of creating up to 40,000 new businesses over the next two years according to a new Government announcement.
