Do you want to get some exercise with the baby and help raise funds? Take part in the first ever Charity Baby Fair & Buggy Fun Run which takes place in Battersea Park on 15th September 2009.
In aid of charity Nema, which fights child poverty in Africa, the event is run by JoJo Maman Bébé. The fun run is parent friendly with a start time of 10.30am, ideal if you have to get an older sibling to school before getting pre-schoolers and babies ready for the event. Designed to challenge all levels of fitness, you can choose to run or walk a 2.5 km circuit up to four times making a total possible distance of 10km. There is no pressure to complete more than one circuit, leaving you the option of setting your own target with a challenge to achieve more in the next event.
To ensure a fabulous day out, pre and post run entertainment will include live music, face painting, dancing character, free balloons and great goody bags. A Baby Fair is open to the general public with free sampling of organic baby foods and smoothies and baby friendly stands with relevant products for sale at special show prices. 22 exhibitors have already booked up offering a wide variety of interesting baby friendly products and services.
The JoJo Charity Buggy Fun run is set to be the Indian summer parent and baby event in South West London this year. To register for the event, please go to www.jojomamanbebe.co.uk.
