Flexible Working Rights for Australia

Working mums and dads in Australia have new rights under Labor’s National Employment Standards from today. Any employee who is a parent, or has a responsibility for the care of a child under school age now has the right to request flexible working arrangements from their employer. As in the UK, employers have the right to refuse on reasonable business grounds.
