Lisa Talbot’s Style Tips: Gothic

Stylist Lisa Talbot is sharing her tips on turning seasonal trends into wearable outfits.

Lots and Lots of black, very hard edged looks with very luxurious fabrics. If you want to make a statement this season then the leopard print is for you, it can be incorporated into your wardrobe in forms of boots, gloves, coats, dresses….how daring are you?

Black is a very deep dark colour so gives the illusion of slimming but it is also a very hard colour so be careful with this trend, make it more feminine by adding lace and beading.

Like some of the other trends this look is still very tailored so I would recommend you add in a statement coat this season.  Allow the coat to fit your individual body shape perfectly.

The ‘Must haves’

  • Shiny leggings or similar (be careful with shiny fabrics they can make areas of the body appear larger than they are)
  • Velvet leggings
  • Lace and/or satin
  • Silk shirt
  • Red lipstick
  • The smoky eye look

This tip is from Lisa Talbot, a Personal and Corporate stylist who specialises in helping mainly women and men with their style and image. She says, “I can help you get a better understanding of the colours and shapes that suit you, then apply that to your personality and lifestyle to help you develop a new wardrobe. One that you’ll love to wear every day. Being a mum of 3 (21 year old son and twins of 6) I can so relate to being a busy working mum and juggling my family. I know how important it is to have a wardrobe that works for you and one that you will find easy and one that you will have fun with.” Find out more about Award Winning Personal Stylist Lisa Talbot at www.lisatalbot.co.uk or join Lisa Talbot on Facebook
