Toy Review: Leapfrog Tag

The Leapfrog tag is a handy, handheld, ‘reader’. D, 8 and J, 5, are really enjoying using it. J is very interested in learning to read and it is really helping him tie up which letters combine to make which words. The games are simple, straightforward and ‘cool’ according to my little testers who have also got very excitied about getting ‘rewards’ when they complete a game.

When you get the Tag, you do need to download software and files to make it read each new book. I know I go on about the length of time taken to set toys up, but honestly, if you are going to give this for Christmas PLEASE unpack it first and get the software set up. It will save you headaches on Christmas day. Check the price of additional books too as the Tag is really only as good as the books you have at £23.97
