Book Review: Beyond The Familiar by Patrick Barwise & Sean Meehan

I write a lot about marketing and found Beyond the Familiar: Long-Term Growth Through Customer Focus and Innovation a useful book with in depth and relevant analysis of marketing that works.

The book is based on research and case studies of a number of businesses: you’ll understand about how some well know and less well known businesses have succeeded in building their brands and turnover.

What’s more, in this book you can move beyond simple concepts such as Unique Selling Point and understand more about the customer experience and how it can impact on your business. This is not a book for beginners or micro businesses, but if you own a business and have studied marketing or manage the marketing of a medium or large business you’ll find it gives you valuable extra insight.
