Book Review: Books for Small Boys

Do your small boys love books? Here are a few fun books that we’ve found make great bed time stories to share.

My favourite children’s book at the moment isYou by Emma Dodds. I love the illustrations, the embossed gold and silver, and the repeated message of ‘I love you’. It’s the perfect message to send your boys to bed with.

We’ve also had fun with Bear’s Underwear Mystery: A Count-and-Find-it Adventure. It is the perfect combination of bright colours and easy to hold sturdy pages, plus a hunt for underwear that makes everyone laugh. Spot the patterns, count the numbers and find all the animals in underpants!

Our final fave book for boys of the moment is one of the biggest dinosaur books available, Dinosaurs: A Giant Fold-Out Book. Open each page to discover some brilliant drawings, and find out which dinosaurs have long tails, which have wings etc. K and J have both loved opening the pages and will ‘read’ this together – at least, J will read most of the words and I’ll help him with the dinosaur names!

Disclosure: We were sent some of these books by the publisher, and others we borrowed from the library
