Book Review: Anjum’s Indian Vegetarian Feast

I’m a big fan of Indian food, and love recipe books on the subject. Anjum’s Indian Vegetarian Feast one is a real winner. Anjum takes the best of Indian cookery, provides recipes for the classics, and brings in some fab new ideas with a twist such as coconut french toast, or Keralan banana pancakes with peanut butter or squash, butterbean and mushroom cobbler. Use the book to learn how to make your own breads and perfect boiled rice too. The photos are well worth a mention: illustrations for every recipe make it easy to see what you are aiming for, and give you inspiration for serving ideas. I can see this book will get  a lot of use.

Anjum’s Indian Vegetarian Feast cost around £12.00 on Amazon at time of writing: RRP is £19.99.
Read about some of the other recipe books I love with an Indian or Eastern focus in my post on virtual food tourism.
