Running a successful party

Rachel of Bella AccessoriesRunning a party at home is a great way to spend quality time with your friends and a fun way to earn some extra income or build a business. Here Rachel from Bella Accessories talks about how to run a successful party at home.

“Firstly it’s a fun way to get friends together!  Bella parties are like a pop-up shop at your home. Once a date has been secured, we send a confirmation email to our host along with  invitations. We ask the host to make a guest list so that she can send her invites out.  Guests can shop on line or at the party.  A few days before the event, we confirm how many guests will be attending, a minimum of 8 is a must to make the evening worthwhile.  On the evening, arrive an hour early to set up, once set up, then the fun begins in a relaxed atmosphere.  There are no presentations and there’s no pressure to buy.  A host gets a lovely gift at the end of the night.”

Here are Rachel’s top four tips on running a successful party:

  • Ensure you liaise with your host from booking a party through to the event.
  • Always arrive an hour earlier to ensure that you can get set up in time.
  • Take feedback forms and make sure that you get all the details of all the guests
  • Enjoy the evening! And sell, sell, sell.
