Photo shared under a creative commons license by UK Parliament.Campaigning group Valuing Maternity is highlighting that women should have the right to breastfeed at work, even in Parliament after Jo Swinson MP wanted to bring her newborn baby to a vote in the Houses of Parliament. Jo Swinson MP questioned the rule in Parliament that you are not allowed to walk through the voting lobby with a baby before she went on maternity leave. She says, “There has been a change that women who are breastfeeding can be nodded through. But I think when you are perfectly capable of walking through the lobby holding a small baby, I think there would be a better way of just allowing that. But parliament moves  slowly.”
