I am a mum of Fraser age 6 and Daisy age 1. Whilst on Maternity leave with Daisy I like many other mums decided I wanted to be a stay at home mum, something I felt I missed out on with Fraser. I knew I would still need to somehow earn an income so I started looking for ideas and inspiration and then I found Bish Bash Birthdays and I have never looked back.
I became “Miss Bish Bash” and the franchise owner for Bish Bash Birthdays Wiltshire which was launched early 2013. With fantastic training, guidance, experience and help from Deborah Gersohn and a lot of hard work Bish Bash Birthdays Wiltshire has become a great success.
With the majority of party bookings being at the weekend, I can run my business and be a stay at home mum – I have the best of both worlds!
Being a children’s party entertainer is very enjoyable and rewarding. I’ve now been “Miss Bish Bash” for just over a year and I am loving it. Although it’s far from anything I have done in the past I now feel like a natural.
My family have been behind me all the way and are very supportive and proud of what I have achieved so far. My partner understands that when he gets home from work I have to do my work so bath time and bedtime is daddy’s job!
I don’t have a financial goal but I do have goals for where I want the business to go. I already have another “Miss Bish Bash” trained up and ready. This will enable me to take more bookings or take a holiday without having to turn bookings away. When Daisy starts school I will have more time to move the business forward until then I am happy to be able to enjoy her and grow my business at a steady pace. In 5 years time I would like a team of “Mr & Miss Bish Bash’s” working every weekend and taking Bish Bash Birthdays Wiltshire to the next level. In the future I do see myself taking a more of a managerial role in the business but I can’t imagine ever wanting to hang up my polka dot apron entirely!
