It all started in August … #Xmasclutterclear

Antonias XmasclutterclearWe’ve had the builders in since 14th July. That’s meant two big rooms worth of stuff has had to be redistributed round the house, and I have HAD ENOUGH!

I’m joining Joanne Mallons #Xmasclutterclear as it ties in with what I’ve been trying to do since the end of August. This is a pic of the clothes clear out, plus some books. I’ve taken other books to donate to the kids school. I’ve cleared some extra bookshelves from my bedroom and it’s looking much clearer now … and this is just the start.

I have bin bags and I’m not afraid to use them!

My goals: I’m copying Joanne and aiming to clear 1 bag/box a week before Christmas.

If you want to take part, Joanne writes:

How to take part: Write a post saying how you intend to do your pre-Christmas clutter clear. Do you have a clutter clearing goal? Or maybe you don’t – if you’ve already cracked the mountain of stuff problem, then please let us in on your secret. Add your post to the linky at Joanne’s Blog.

  • Thanks so much for joining in the #Xmasclutterclear linky. I don’t know if this would work where you live, but in our street we often get rid of books, small toys and even bits of furniture by simply leaving them outside the house with maybe a note indicating that they’re free to take. Although giving to a charity shop would be my first choice, sometimes this is a good way to get rid of stuff fast, before I have a chance to change my mind.

Good luck with clearing your clutter! Please post again and let us know how you’re getting on.
